ALPHENBERG can proudly look back on a great challenge in Baarn
Baarn, a royal city located in the middle of the Netherlands on the river Eem. An old city with many special locations. Think of the Lage Vuursche, Drakestein Castle and of course Soestdijk Palace.

In the midst of all this beauty is a house that is cherished by the residents. A house where Alphenberg was asked to think about the interior and the decoration of the walls. That your taste and desire and change over time is not new. But the residents of this house in Baarn, in addition to the usual wishes, also had specific wishes with regard to their interior. Alphenberg is an excellent partner to exchange ideas about this, to discuss the wishes in order to find the possibilities together to fulfill those wishes.

We walk through the house and start with the kitchen
An ideal place where you can sit at the bar at the end of the day, while the most delicious smells pass by, to go through the experiences of the day together, discuss recipes or simply enjoy a nice glass.

Because the semi-open kitchen is adjacent to the living room, there was a desire to harmonize the atmosphere in both color and finish. No ‘white machinery’ but part of the adjacent living areas. Warm, comfortable, modern and yet timeless, chic and cool, exclusive customization. Those were the key words that served as the basis for this wonderful result.

Leather has exactly the look that meets these requirements. Certainly the Tundra leather in the color Chocolat as it is used everywhere here.

For the kitchen it was decided to work in large tiles with as few seams as possible. This is clearly visible on both the island and on the wall in which various equipment and the wine climate cabinet are incorporated. Leather can be processed excellently in large as well as on small surfaces. A good example of this is the sophisticated application on the drawers.

This wall takes you to the living room where the same type of leather and color have been used again, but now very surprising in a different pattern. For this geometric cube pattern, tiles are cut in parallelograms and processed in such a way that the dark side is always at the top of the cube, achieving an almost 3-D effect. On this wall you can clearly see that no piece of leather is the same. Leather is and remains a natural material, which reflects its unique character so beautifully.
