Bram Reijnders is among the Pop Art and Urban Artists of the Netherlands. Active in five continents, Reijnders dives into different cultures to photograph the "urban magic." Bram's oeuvre stems from action: the simple act of tearing posters off walls in various cities. By decontextualizing these pieces of reality and adding new urban images, pop culture and celebrities, the artist sees art more as action than narrative.
"Judge me by my actions, not by what I say," is what Bram Reijnders reflects on in this show. In times when we feel lost about the truth, actions speak louder than words.
Bram's works tell stories. Showing moments, situations, lives are revealing, not selling. His snapshots of reality are therefore never complete without the viewer; they bring together more than they try to convince.
Let's cut the blah, blah! Enjoy the art!
