He is always curious about new concepts in garden and landscape architecture. He works to strengthen the connection to the underlying landscape and believes that each place tells the story of the landscape to which it belongs.

The connection of a garden to its natural environment is a given. The garden is not an island, but part of a larger ecosystem. Andrew’s garden designs explore the contrast between the natural landscape and human design. They strive for a balance between the spontaneous expression of nature and minimalist architectural interventions.

Working on two continents brought him new insights that reinforced the need for a timeless, elegant and stylish design aesthetic. Working with time, geology and the influence of elements on outdoor space provide new and surprising solutions.
