Iconic Design

Iconic design is a boutique design studio founded by Bart de Rooy. I work from my studio on one of the most beautiful squares in The Hague. My focus is interior architecture and furniture design with forays into architecture, the garden through to decoration and styling.

My work is about seeking contrasts and finding harmony. In form, color, composition and material. And almost always connect inside with outside. I look for how big gestures can fill a space with a wow effect or just provide a mood that fits its user so well. I help clients make choices that suit them and the architecture of the home, rather than creating something we already see so much around us.

I work with unusual materials that are often timeless, or sometimes make a statement. And I continuously add new special materials; preferably as sustainable as possible. The suppliers I work with and the partners in execution ensure a high end quality end result, with a rich and special atmosphere. In every project. They guarantee the craftsmanship and refinement that so enriches our lives. They make you live in a space, which is made with love and craftsmanship.
