Studio Sluijzer

Studio Sluijzer is a multidisciplinary design studio from Amsterdam. Owner and designer Robin Sluijzer began as a furniture maker and started his own studio twenty years ago. The designs of Studio Sluijzer have a distinct character that is  tough, stylish and radiates peace and serenity. Robin employs contrast to achievethe right balance and works with natural materials. All designs are realised with an eye for detail and made in the most durable fashion. Robin’s love for materials, shapes, and color is expressed in his design.

The studio portfolio is varied, ranging from residential projects to designs for hospitality, retail and office spaces. Robin and his team also design furniture and accessories ranging from  bamboo lighting collection, bamboo concrete to leather rugs.

Sustainable future.

During the Masters of LXRY fair in Amsterdam, Studio Sluijzer launched a large partnership with EcoCabins. In this partnership, social houses, tiny houses, and villas are developed on the basis of sustainable timber construction with built-in sustainable energy supplies.

Given this focus on sustainability, Studio Sluijzer is now joining the CooLoo Circular Canopy for a large project at the Salone del Mobile in Milano. Working together with CooLoo create exterior, interior, and furniture designs in a circular way.

These are striking examples of the sustainable vision of Studio Sluijzer that strives to combine  luxury and serenity with sustainability and circularity as part of the new housing movement.

This passion and progressive vision  is reflected in each of  Studio Sluijzer’s projects. Using strong conceptual thinking as starting point from, renovating a monumental building to launching a design book to developing social housing projects.
