Studio Sophie

Sophie van der Graaf, who grew up in Rotterdam, founded Studio Sophie in 2015. She began her career in fashion in Amsterdam, first at De Bijenkorf and later at Maison Scotch. The move from fashion to interiors proved to be a natural one. Since then, she has worked with passion and dedication on a variety of projects.

Thanks to her background in fashion, a design education and internships including one at Piet Boon, Sophie has a highly trained eye for spatial experience, bringing together beautiful fabrics, materials and distinctive combinations. Her style and approach are warm, personal, colorful and full of creative possibilities. Sophie not only designs interiors, but also bespoke pieces, furniture, lighting and accessories, available under her own label and in the online boutique.

Studio Sophie enjoys working on both private and commercial projects in the high-end segment. Working with different people and different spaces makes every project a new challenge. Sophie applies her knowledge, vision and inspiration drawn from fairs, travel, books and art. A strong collaboration with the client is very important in this process. The ideal outcome is a result that feels truly fitting, inspiring and personal.
