CUSTOMIZATION AWARDS 2020
On Thursday, June 3, the Baars & Bloemhoff Maatwerk Awards were presented for the third time in a row. The best interior designers and furniture makers in the Netherlands were digitally spotlighted this edition. Literally; because all 52 finalists were live on air on a huge LED screen. Presenters John Faas (business unit manager Baars & Bloemhoff), Kees Hoogendijk (director royal CBM) and side-kick Elwin Jonkers (Solid Surface specialist) made it an unforgettable evening together with the virtual spectators. The Werkspoor factory was the imposing setting for the ceremony.
The choice of winners was the result of jury sessions that took place digitally in early 2021. The 52 contenders in eight categories had a chance to share the creative process behind their interior design project with the jury panel of interior design professionals. To John and Kees it was the honor Thursday night to reveal the winners to loud drum rolls.

WINNER CATEGORY: AUDIENCE AWARD
As icing on the cake, people could vote for the audience award during the broadcast from workshops, canteens and living rooms throughout the Netherlands.
This was done en masse, and with 12.5% of the votes, Willuks Interior Projects emerged as the big winner:
