Beautiful waterfront garden

This beautiful garden was realized on the Wagner canal in Heemstede, right on the water. The residents of Heemstede have a great love for nature, and what could be better than enjoying the natural environment by the water? Every morning they start the day with a refreshing swim to wake up properly. After swimming, it’s great to rinse off under the outdoor shower. To provide variety, three different seating areas have been created in the garden. Thus, instead of taking a dip, you can relax and enjoy the rippling water. At the back of the garden there is a sitting area to unwind, and another sitting area is set up as a dining area.

Enjoyment in all seasons
No matter the season, this waterfront garden offers plenty of enjoyment. In the summer, enjoy a refreshing drink by the water or by the open fire pit while feasting on hot chocolate and marshmallows. GeoCeramica® Norwegian Stone Grey was chosen for the garden tiles. These tiles provide a quiet base with an understated design and are also low maintenance. In addition, different wood-look elements were used to create a playful atmosphere. The presence of a private jetty on the water is particularly convenient for mooring a boat.

Surrounded by nature
In addition to tiles, plants play an important role in the garden. They provide shade, dampen sound, and increase humidity in the environment. In addition, they provide additional privacy and serve as separations from adjacent gardens. Since boats frequently pass by when you live on the water, it’s nice not to be constantly in the spotlight. The residents are therefore very pleased with this choice. The garden is filled with various plant species that bloom at different times of the year, so there is greenery to admire throughout the year. With the help of atmospheric lighting, they can also enjoy their garden at night.
