Construction in Schoten
“Extension with kitchen and dining area”
This beautiful residential extension is the absolute eye-catcher of a renovated house in Schoten. Thanks to its elongated shape, this extension on the long side brings in maximum natural light. The house extension is part of a thorough renovation of this house, in which the kitchen and a dining area were provided in the oak extension. The large sliding windows with heavy profiles ensure a seamless transition to the terrace. The windows were placed on the inside of the oak support beams, which gives the whole a unique appearance along the outside.
Sleek white kitchen
The authentic oak construction was finished inside with a sleek white kitchen with kitchen island, with a raised dining table and bar stools in the extension. A dining area has been set up at the very tip of the residential extension – almost completely integrated into the garden. A wonderful place to have breakfast here in the morning or to enjoy the evening sun after a working day. This project proves once again that a modern interior is perfectly possible in an authentic oak construction. In fact, both styles reinforce each other’s unique strength and appearance.
No functional limitations
This residential extension shows once again that the oak constructions of Heritage Buildings have no functional limitations. A kitchen – including the accompanying damp vapors – is no problem at all. Our oak outbuildings are fully moisture-regulating. In this project, the clients therefore chose not to integrate the living space in the extension – as is often the case – here, the kitchen with dining area was deliberately integrated. In recent years, kitchens have increasingly developed into real places to stay and meet.
Authentic character
The oak construction under construction gives this house an authentic character and provides a unique appearance. The construction does not look heavy at all, which is further enhanced by the light interior and the thatched roof. Thanks to the integrated insulation and the high-performance glass, the extension perfectly meets the applicable EPB standards. The materials used look authentic, but meet the highest energy standards.
Enjoying the outdoors
Throughout the year, the owners can enjoy the beautiful outdoor life and garden behind glass. The abundance of light provides a sublime feeling of space and raises the entire house to an exclusive level. The inside is finished with white interior planking up to the high gabled roof. The free height up to the ridge of the roof structure enhances the feeling of space and freedom. The beautiful oak crossbeams, which give the structure the required structure and sturdiness, are accentuated in this way.
Outdoor kitchen in the summer
During the summer, the large sliding windows are opened, shifting the dining experience to the nearby open-air terrace. In this way, the kitchen immediately takes on the function of an outdoor kitchen, whereby the host or hostess maintains contact with the table happening outside at all times.
