Country Home Renovation

Warm timber, exposed structure, and pale tile set the tone from the first view. The renovation leans into a country home renovation language without pushing the rooms into nostalgia. Wood appears in the staircase, in the cabinet wall, and in the entrance detail outside, while brick and light plaster keep the setting grounded. The result is shaped by visible materials rather than decoration: open shelves, a TV niche, balustrades with turned profiles, and a bathroom that stays calm through tile, mirror, and glass.

A cabinet wall built around the television

The living room centers on a custom cabinet wall TV niche that is more built-in than display piece. Closed storage sits beside open compartments, and the television is set back into a defined opening so the wall reads as one composed surface. Warm wood pulls the eye across the room, while the large glazed doors beside it keep the seating area connected to the outside. This part of the country home renovation uses joinery to shape the room instead of filling it with separate furniture.

Open shelving breaks up the larger timber planes and gives the wall a lighter rhythm. The niche at the center is lined and framed, with a small glow that makes the recess readable even in a bright room. It is a practical detail, but it also sets the scale of the room: not oversized, not decorative for its own sake, just measured around a clear focal point. The cabinet wall settles the living area and gives the fireplace-free room a point of rest.

Wood, storage, and a clear line across the room

Viewed from another angle, the same wall shows how the custom cabinet wall TV niche handles both storage and surface. The open blocks and closed fronts create a steady grid, and the grain of the wood keeps that grid from feeling flat. A country home renovation often depends on exactly this kind of joinery, where the furniture becomes part of the architecture. Here, the built-in wall does not interrupt the room; it draws a line through it.

Stair details that carry the country character

The staircase is where the detailing becomes more sculptural. Wooden staircase balustrades with turned elements give the rise of the stairs a more traditional profile, but the surrounding surfaces keep the setting light. Pale flooring, white walls, and simple doors let the timber stand out without crowding the hall. The stair itself becomes a visible transition: from the open room below to the quieter landing above, with each spindle and handrail profile visible in the light.

From the side, the balustrade reads as a sequence of narrow verticals rather than a heavy barrier. That matters in a country home renovation, where older-feeling forms can easily become bulky. Here the woodwork stays crisp enough to follow the line of the stair, and the adjacent wall openings and door panels keep the hall orderly. The effect comes from proportion and repetition, not from ornament alone.

A landing framed by light and openings

The upper hall shows a pale ceiling with an arched recess and small round spots set into it. Below, the floor continues in a light tiled finish, and a high window brings in another layer of daylight. The geometry is simple but specific: arch, rectangle, and stair line meet without crowding each other. In this part of the country home renovation, the architecture is read through thresholds, not through large gestures.

Brick, timber, and the entrance opening

Outside, the material contrast becomes more direct. Red-brown brick forms the main field, while a wooden panel marks the entrance opening and softens the harder masonry around it. A metal cap finishes one of the timber details, giving the opening a sharp edge against the brick. This brick and wood facade entry is not overworked; it relies on the meeting point between materials and the large glazed opening beside it.

A closer view shows how the wood panel sits against the masonry rather than covering it. The brick remains visible around the edges, and the lines of the timber run clean and straight. That simple pairing gives the country home renovation an exterior accent that echoes the interior: wood appears again, but now against brick instead of plaster. The materials repeat, yet the reading changes with each surface.

A bathroom in light tile and clear planes

The bathroom shifts the palette toward light grey, white, and glass. A double vanity bathroom takes up one wall, set beneath broad mirrors that enlarge the room visually and keep the sink zone readable. The basin fronts and mirror edges are crisp, and the tilework behind them uses a small-scale pattern that adds texture without making the room busy. This part of the country home renovation is quieter than the living spaces, but it still relies on strong material definition.

Across from the vanity, the shower is finished as a walk-in shower rain shower with continuous tiling and a compact footprint. The walls are tiled in a pale tone, and both the rain head and hand shower are visible in the enclosure. The space feels defined by surfaces rather than partitions. A light modern tiled bathroom like this depends on the way tile wraps floor and wall, pulling the room into one compact field.

Tile, mirrors, and the way the room holds daylight

Round ceiling spots and the reflective mirror surfaces spread the light evenly across the bathroom. The double vanity bathroom avoids heavy cabinetry; instead, the basins and mirrors sit cleanly against the tiled wall. The result is orderly without feeling cold. Every element has a clear edge: the vanity top, the mirror frame, the joint lines in the tile, the glass line of the shower entrance.

That clarity continues in the shower zone. The walk-in shower rain shower sits within a narrow enclosure where the tile finish runs uninterrupted from wall to floor. The change from the warmer wood elsewhere in the house to this light modern tiled bathroom gives the renovation its range. It moves from timber and brick to ceramic and mirror, but keeps the same direct approach to material expression.

Seen as a whole, the country home renovation is shaped by a few repeated moves: built-in storage, exposed wood, clean tile, and masonry left visible where it matters. The custom cabinet wall TV niche gives the living room a fixed center, the wooden staircase balustrades turn the hall into a detail piece, and the brick and wood facade entry repeats the material conversation on the outside. Nothing here is overdrawn. The rooms read through their surfaces, their joins, and the way light sits on wood, brick, and tile.
