Country house on the Veluwe
A house around a bank
Country house with an understated chic look deliberately chosen by the residents. The early 19th century canapé in the sunroom was already in the possession. The look of this sofa in combination with the new upholstery served as the starting point and touchstone for the rest of the interior.
Eye for detail
No detail escapes the attention of this client. The new and existing interior elements were put together with care, making it a balanced whole.
Variation in harmony
Despite the use of various patterns, the interior looks calm and in harmony. For example, next to the blue sofa in the conservatory, Chinese vases with handmade caps incorporating a subtle blue accent have been placed. The canapé in the sitting room has a fabric, characteristic of the style period, bearing the merovingian bee. This is combined with a French Empire style table and dresser and glass side tables with bronze bases. Unique table lamps were also used here, this time in a modern style. A wooden floor in Hungarian point, silk curtains and wallpaper applied as wall covering complete the picture.
