Dream home in Achterveld

Without being immediately noticeable, this home was made a perfect fit for the lot where our clients wanted to live. The restrictions from the regulations were turned into a strong basis for the design: a front facade where several jumps created a nice alignment with the building line. This allowed the house to stand widthwise on the lot, giving it an extra generous feel. The lot is not huge in terms of dimensions, but the shape of the house allowed the house to be positioned as far to the street as possible, leaving the widest possible garden at the rear. Due to the width of the home, both the eat-in kitchen and living room can enjoy the expansive views to the rear of the home. The interior is particularized by leaving the hood with construction in itself at, for example, the master bedroom and landing. At various points here, the clients had specific personal wishes. For example, it was a desire to have a wooden beam in the house: it is integrated very centrally in the design as an eye-cather above the steel facade that separates living kitchen and living room. The warm interior thus balances the contrasting color scheme of the exterior.
