Modern house on IJburg
For a plot on Rieteiland Oost IJburg, Engel Architects was asked to design a modern home for a young family with three children. Rieteiland Oost is characterized by its spacious layout and green character. The house has a capacity of about 700m³ and an area of about 220m². The villas are limited in volume so that sufficient space remains between the buildings.

The supply of garden and water strengthened
The facades are constructed of masonry, wooden parts and glass. On the first floor, the large glass facades are drawn around the corners of the house, creating diagonal sight lines to the outside and enhancing the experience of the garden and water surrounding Rieteiland Oost
