A stone double garage in a large garden in Kapellen was completely transformed by Heritage Buildings into a beautiful oak garden building with an extra floor. The stone structure of the garage has been preserved, but is unrecognizable thanks to the new exterior planking and matching finish.

Thanks to the extra floor, the owner can enjoy a unique hobby room without taking up additional space. The large windows offer elevated and expansive views of the pretty country garden. With an area of ​​45 square meters, the additional interior space guarantees sufficient space for a piano, organ, home office and seating.

Far away from everything
This space has everything to relax, enjoy and completely dream away. At home and close by, yet mentally far away from everything. The extra interior space is easily accessible via an external staircase, perfectly matching the new style of the building.

Oak supporting structure
Heritage Buildings also used the typical oak supporting structure for this unique project. Contrary to normal, a so-called cruck frame was chosen here. This traditional frame ensures perfect weight distribution on the underlying structure and can be used on a hard floor without any problems. Thanks to the white finish of the interior planking, the oak supporting structure also comes into its own in this project.

Endless flexibility
With this project, Heritage Buildings once again proves the almost endless flexibility for residential extensions with the oak construction method. Not only an extension to an existing house is one of the options, but also a room expansion in height is perfectly possible.

This approach is an extremely efficient way to reorient existing buildings or extend them with additional functions. The appearance of the existing building was also completely executed in the typical rural Heritage style.
