House of Allure

Olivier and Rachel’s house has been transformed from a lovely cottage to a real house of allure, thanks to the impressive design of architect Jeroen de Nijs. In the battle between the architects, Jeroen was able to win over the couple with his creativity and thoughtful design.

Jeroen created a wonderful connection between the two spaces by opening up the old room-and-suite and bringing it into the kitchen. This created a spacious and practical home. He also provided optically larger connections between the two houses by placing large windows on the sides. The terrace was strategically moved to the sunny side of the house so that Olivier and Rachel can always enjoy the sun during the summer months.

But the highlight of Jeroen’s design is the outhouse. Here he created a gigantic living room with a cozy fireplace, a loft and abundant natural light thanks to skylights. In addition, there is even a home office for Olivier, a surprise the couple did not see coming.

The result is their dream home, where Rachel enthusiastically exclaimed, “This is our dream home!” The project is a perfect example of the transformative power of well-thought-out design and the expertise of Jeroen de Nijs.
