Interplay of rural and sleek behind spectacular facade
Briek360° took on the challenge of creating a new home on a narrower building strip that also houses a clothing store. Within these possibilities, the team designed a twisted home with a unique front facade as the defining element. The facade is a handsome combination of reclaimed bricks masonry in a whitewashed pattern, windows with powder-coated poutrelles and decorative buttresses.
Thanks to its rural appearance, the home fits beautifully into its surroundings. The designer has an eye for detail: cemented baseboards, robust window sills in Belgian blue stone, wavy roof tiles and dormers with small natural slates. The sleek living porch with covered patio not only looks beautiful, but also offers residents a wonderful place to sit quietly.
“With such an authentic-looking exterior, the modern, spacious interior is a surprise.”
With such an authentic-looking exterior, the modern, spacious interior is a surprise. The spaces blend together fluidly: large ceramic tiles provide cohesion between the store, hall, toilets and integrated kitchen, giving way there to the oak parquet of the living space, which is connected to the garden. The master bedroom is open to the ridge and a large panoramic window overlooks the garden. Sleek plastered doors form a unit with the interior walls.
