Lighting on (for)size with in-lite lab
Location: The Hague
Lighting: in-lite LAB
Garden design: Erwin Stam
An outdoor space does not have to be large to exude a high-end look and feel. Garden designer Erwin Stam also turns small outdoor spaces into exclusive, atmospheric places for residents to enjoy year-round. And in this, light plays an important role. Together with in-lite LAB, Erwin created just such a compact, beautifully lit outdoor space in The Hague.
In this beautifully designed outdoor space, the old magnolia immediately stands out. In-lite LAB’s lighting plan focused on this tree by illuminating it with various 12-Volt spotlights. In this way, it is attractively lit all around. To complement this, small spotlights called MINI SCOPE have been incorporated between the plants. The entire greenery is attractively illuminated in this way.
Besides the magnolia, the garden’s hardwood back wall stands out. The old walls and facade of the building are also ideal for accentuating it with mood lighting. Here, wall fixtures from the HALO series were chosen. These black anodized fixtures have an exclusive look and provide diffused light. A 230Volt version of this fixture is installed on the facade. It completes the picture; residents can enjoy an attractive outdoor space from anywhere in the garden.
