In a protected townscape on the outskirts of Oirschot, Spanjers Architect designed a beautiful home in the style of an authentic long-gabled farmhouse. Characteristic elements are the ratio of “living” to “stable” area, the combination of wood with masonry in the facade and the combination of thatch and tiles on the roof. Because of these materials combined with the chosen facade layout, this new home fits flawlessly into its situation amid a number of beautiful monumental farmhouses.
