Oak Z-shape staircase with curved walls
In a very old, completely renovated carriage house, we installed this magnificent staircase. The curved, plastered walls of this staircase make the design unique and breathtaking. We made every effort to maintain the soft look of the staircase, making it fit perfectly with the style of the home’s interior. The underside of the stairs is also plastered in a curved shape, presenting the whole thing as a work of art.
And why as a work of art? Because the entire first floor is open, containing only one hallway, the staircase can be seen from all rooms. This makes the staircase the focal point of the home.
The color of the steps of the stairs was matched to the beautiful oak floor already chosen by our client. We took great care in finding the right color and materials to ensure that everything fits together perfectly. The skylight above the stairs provides a beam of light that illuminates the entire dining area.
The slim steel handrail without rosettes completes the design and fits perfectly with the modern look of the staircase. This handrail not only provides a safe walking experience, but also adds peace and class to the design. Every element has been thought about in detail.
This project is not just a staircase, but a statement of class and style. The house itself already exudes class in that it is still in its old state on the outside, while on the inside it has been completely renovated. During the renovation, great attention was paid to space, leaving the entire ground floor open. The staircase can be seen from all angles and fits perfectly with the interior of the home.
A special aspect of this staircase is that you can go straight from the kitchen to the upper floor and basement. This is an example of how we think about the functionality of our design and how we combine it with high-quality design.
