Pied-à-terre Knokke
All about the view
The layout of the living area, the generous sliding doors and the view. Everything in this pied-à-terre on the Belgian coast revolves around its seaside location. But why should the interior have to suffer for that? So the challenge was to bring character to the interior with some modest interventions.
Since under the influence of weather conditions the atmosphere in the room is constantly changing, the location obviously played a role in this. The materials used counterbalance the natural spectacle. Because the gray wall does not reflect light from outside, its effect is limited. The use of bog oak and natural stone gives the interior an earthy but equally rugged look. Both materials come together in the kitchen and dining area, which seem to blend into each other due to the textures used.
