Gwen became involved in the construction phase of the new home - located on the edge of a forest and moorland - during the process. Based on mood boards and the family's lifestyle and composition, she created an overall design of the interior and poured those drawings into 3D renderings. "The house wasn't built yet, so then it's often difficult for clients to make sense of drawings. 3D renderings appeal much more to the imagination," Gwen said. The residents: "Whether she knew our wishes and requirements right from the start? The 3D renderings that she presented to us at the beginning of our collaboration came fully to life."

Beautiful lines
Through the beautiful hallway - enriched with custom furniture and wall paneling - and the steel pivot door, we reach the generous living area on the be- gane floor. On the left side the kitchen is positioned and on the right side we find the stylishly furnished living room. "To separate the two spaces, we placed the oval dining table at the heart of the home," Gwen said, pointing to the long wall on the first floor. "I immediately saw that I had to do something with that wall to create atmosphere and experience in the house and chose to create a play corner with a desk for the children on the garden side and to design a floating and meter-long wall cabinet towards the living room. The custom cabinet and the desk were executed at the same height, revealing a beautiful interplay of lines. The artwork and oak slats add warmth to the long wall," said Gwen.

Contrast and unity
In the beautiful living room - equipped with some design classics - the organically designed sofa contrasts pleasantly with the sleek and powerful coffee table. From the stylish sofa, residents gaze at the eye-catching custom object, which Gwen incorporated, among other things, the fireplace. Like the mirror in the hall, the slender wood of the cabinetry extends to the ceiling, creating unity in the overall picture. One floor up you will find, among other things, the stylish bathroom, in which marble, the oval bathtub, the minimalist lines, the stucco work and the washbasin - fitted with dark wood - combine to create an attractive ambience.

"Thanks to gwen, the living room turned out exactly as we hoped. It is a beautiful place where we can enjoy together with our children. They are extremely happy with their own play area and we are very pleased with the unity that the custom interior exudes," the proud residents of the newly built home compliment creative designer gwen hoopman. "Still every day we are made happy by our home."
