Residential house in Rotterdam
“Out of the box,” but livable and warm with two small children. With that assignment, we set to work to create an appropriate interior and lighting design, with the lighting design being based on the existing light fixtures in the ceiling.
Chosen was a marble-look wall in the sitting room, which wall also recurs in the hall. The hallway is separated from the living room with a beautiful steel facade by Simply Gers.
The clients also wanted a nice eye-catcher that you would see upon entering the building. We designed a leather wall with art with a long walnut sideboard with steel underneath. This walnut and steel are also reflected in the TV cabinet we designed.
As far as lighting goes, we chose as eye-catchers the beautiful Tom Dixon pendant lights above the dining table, the Mrs. B. B., the Mrs. B., and the Mrs. B. B.. Q wall lamp with leather shade above the sofa and the Solo sconces on the marble-look wall by Jacco Maris. With the track lighting, we further emphasize the leather wall with art.
It has become a fine home for this young family.
