Black pergola structures echo the dark details of the house, so the garden does not sit apart from the villa but repeats its language in a more open setting. They frame the terrace, cast strong shadow lines across the paving, and give the outdoor room a clear upper edge. Along the pool there are several lounging areas, placed close to the house where the ground surface changes from tile to timber. An outdoor salon sits within easy reach of the water, and a generous dining area extends the use of the terrace without crowding the circulation around it.

Materials that stay in view

Ceramic tiles around pool, timber decking, and the dark pergola posts form a restrained palette that keeps the large site from feeling fragmented. The raised pool deck runs as a continuous band, while the poolside seating is positioned so that the views remain open toward the center of the garden. At night, the linear garden lighting traces the deck and pathway edges, making the joins between surfaces easier to read. The effect is not decorative in the usual sense; it simply makes the structure of the outdoor space visible.

The most unexpected line in the plan is the integrated kart track. It runs through the garden with a mix of straight sections and well-defined bends, then opens out into a roundabout for the drive up to the garage. Because the surface sits alongside ceramic paving, stepping stones, and planted borders, the track becomes one layer among several rather than a separate object. That is the strength of the layout: a functional path can exist without breaking the calm reading of the site. The geometry stays clear even when the route becomes playful.

From the driveway side, the same order continues. The approach does not introduce a new language; it extends the garden’s straight garden lines and pathways and keeps the same proportion between open ground, hard surfaces, and planted edges. The roundabout is visible as part of the course, but it also helps explain the site plan: turning, arriving, and moving through the property are all drawn with the same logic. Nothing is hidden, yet nothing feels overstated.

Layered planting around the boundaries

Green rises in several layers, which gives the garden depth and privacy without closing it down. Osmanthus and Prunus appear as organic clouds, while Rododendron, purple catmint, geraniums, and allium bulbs add smaller notes of bloom lower to the ground. Along the boundary, bulky hedges keep sightlines out, and multi-stem trees bring structure and shade above them. The planting is not arranged as a single band; it shifts in height, density, and texture so that each zone reads differently from the terrace, the pool deck, or the path. Around it, the planting stays full but controlled, so the wall does not disappear into the background. Instead, it works like a display surface for one carefully placed detail, with color coming from the niche and from the African lilies nearby.

This is also where repetition becomes part of the design language. The same materials, forms, and planting motifs return at the side of the plot near the entrance. Seen from above, the pergolas run in one line from entry to pool, and identical planters flank the door on both sides. That repetition is what ties the side garden back to the central axis. The route in, the water at the center, and the shaded terraces all belong to one symmetrical garden design with pool, but each zone still has its own pace and surface.

What remains after the eye has moved across the site is a clear sequence of hardscape, water, and planting.
