Villa at the Spaarne
architect Jean Prouvé and in particular the furniture collection that Vitra developed in collaboration with G-Star proved to be a joint starting point in this project. With the design of the kitchen and the proposal for the new floor, confidence was quickly gained and it was decided to also tackle the rest of the house. The resident’s style and taste are characterized by a love for designer furniture, sturdy materials and a preference for green and sober shades.
Carpentier’s kitchen was presented at a trade fair and was exactly the kitchen for this project. The upholstery and furniture were also found step by step and proved to be a hit every time. The layout has not changed much, only in the hall, where the wardrobe and toilet are placed behind a double door, so that the hall has remained clear and spacious.
After the ground floor, we continued to work on the first and second floors. In particular, the master bedroom with adjoining open bathroom has been completely overhauled. Tough sober tiles with a pink-purple glow were chosen. “During the visit to the tile showroom, we pushed the presentation board out of the rack and spontaneously fell in love with the construction of the tiles from large to small. So when the seller asked which tile we wanted we called in unison; THIS ONE!. However, he did not understand that we wanted to apply the complete range from large to small. ” This is only applied in the back walls of the two toilets. The bathroom has been chosen for one size.
Family and friends of the client unanimously say that the interior is a perfect reflection of the resident. That the hair fits like a coat. And that’s what we do it for. It is a gift if the cooperation runs so smoothly.
