Water fun amid greenery

The Loosdrecht lakes offer experience and silence. Those same characteristics show up in this garden designed by Tiemen Gerris and executed by Groenregie. For the planting plan, Groenregie and Tiemen worked together. Abundant plantings, a “sunken” pool and uncompromising comfort play first fiddle in this rhythmic garden.

Special lines
The detached house with thatched roof stands like a diamond on the plot. Conveniently located on a cul-de-sac with villas surrounded by water. To best utilize and optically enlarge the outdoor space, the lines it design run perpendicular to the house.

The front yard turns green in many shades, heights and leaf shapes. A natural yet orderly display makes a beautiful and functional entrance, and provides welcome shade in summer.

Carefree swimming fun
The side and back gardens are lived in and enjoyed to the fullest. From dining and swimming to lounging and sunbathing. All in a sea of lush greenery, with touches of white, pink and purple as accent colors.

Not only the surroundings, but also the garden is watery. The swimming pool with large sun terrace invites you to relax and take a refreshing dip. The raised composite decking gives the patio something extra. The durable material feels perfectly at home here: robust, color- and size-fast, non-slip and easy to clean as well. Rinsing you off stylishly is done outdoors under the designer shower in brushed stainless steel.

Intertwined
Even worries slip away from you in an instant, in privacy and embraced by greenery. To create an intimate atmosphere, the outdoor space was divided into “rooms. The black custom slatted screens delineate areas without making them cubicles. Secure yet transparent so that flow and overview are maintained. The posts in acacia wood provide a bold contrast to the sleek materials.

Cleverly seen and beautiful to look at: steps in Schellevis and raised planters with coated steel around them catch the difference in height. In terms of plantings, a range of species thrives here. What was valuable or natural was preserved. Think bulbous catalpas, rooftop plane trees and an old pear tree. The new plantings look voluminous and varied. Thus, residents get to see a changing picture in each season.
