Waterfront Villa in Amsterdam
This sustainable waterfront family home is here thanks to the stunning design of STUDIO JEROEN VAN ZWETESELAAR. This project fits perfectly with In Toom’s vision. With more than 20 years of experience in executing interior design projects, Thomas van Nielen works every day to create lasting relationships with architects, specialists and clients. The result must be permanently good for all parties.
For example, In Toom, designed by Jeroen van Zwetselaar, transformed a dilapidated 1920s Amsterdam villa into a sustainable family home with a clear connection between inside and outside. After a thorough renovation of the first floor, thanks to a carefully executed construction process, the old structure of the house remained visible. Some historical elements have also been restored. In Toom’s construction group has in-house specialists for this as well.
STUDIO JEROEN VAN ZWETSELAAR applied natural tones and materials such as walnut, concrete, marble and steel in the villa. There are also walls in the house with clay stucco. Almost everything is custom-made and designed specifically for this house. So a challenge for the performer. Something just right up In Toom’s alley. ‘This is what we do best, we take care and time away from the interior designer and clients. For years we have been realizing these kinds of exclusive and distinctive projects. No two projects are the same. However, our people do know exactly what is expected of them and at what time. This creates a successful construction process and in this case a villa on the water where our clients can live and enjoy for years to come.’
