Waterfront villa

Everything is hidden from view in this villa that has been gutted and completely redesigned. The immense sliding glass doors have no discernible frames, making them virtually invisible. They disappear almost completely into the walls, as do the blinds. Because the interior and exterior floors are exactly the same, the connection is almost unnoticeable.

Control of all the equipment in the home, including such elaborate details as the height of the flames in the gas fireplaces and the descent of the six-foot-wide movie screen cum blackout screen, can be controlled with an iPhone. Ten kilometers of cables and wiring are hidden behind walls, panels and ceilings. And yet the warm atmosphere in the home proves that hi-tech doesn’t have to be chilly at all.
