Nilson Beds builds ‘brand experience store’ in Amersfoort, Netherlands
BARNEVELD/AMERSFOORT – That nothing still beats artisanal craftsmanship and pure homegrown craftsmanship is proven by Nilson Beds. Fifteen years after its founding, the Barneveld-based company is still growing and is ready for the next step: building its own “brand experience store.
The new showroom will be located in Amersfoort-Vathorst, where the headquarters will also be housed. Designers Marcel Wolterinck and Remy Meijers collaborated on the exterior and interior of the new building.
‘More and more companies and individuals are discovering the ultimate sleeping comfort of our beds,’ founders Rijndert and Marleen Fluit tell us enthusiastically. ‘Our activities are increasing and for that we need more space. As a specialist in customization, we are therefore going to build a ‘custom-made’ building that completely meets our needs.’
Experience and personal advice
Brand experience for Nilson means first and foremost discovering and experiencing sleep comfort. “In addition, as a brand, we like to inspire,” Rijndert explains. ‘Nilson stands for quality and top design, and we also want to convey that feeling when people pick out a bed.’
‘In our new showroom, we can give personal sleep advice, even better than now. Special screened areas provide privacy. Together with our advisors, you can try out beds at your leisure to feel what lies best.
Top Design
‘In our new building, the presentations of the beds come out even better. The design of our box spring beds and headboards is fairly timeless. You can capitalize on trends with beautiful bedroom furniture, bed linens, pillows and bedspreads. Furthermore, lighting and accessories provide the right atmosphere,” Marleen explains.
Nilson has been working for years with leading designers such as Marcel Wolterinck and Remy Meijers. They designed some of the collection and place Nilson beds in their interior design projects. That’s also why these top designers helped design the new building.
Inspiring period rooms
Nilson Beds works extensively for interior designers and interior professionals in the Netherlands and abroad. In the new building, these customers will have the opportunity to present a surprising new bed design in one of the style rooms, which will be completely furnished with matching flooring, curtains and styling. Every six months, Nilson displays a new collection and atmosphere in its style rooms, inspiring and surprising customers.
Office
Nilson’s employees will all have a nice new workplace with plenty of light and space. Remy Meijers helped design the office space. This resulted in a beautiful clean arrangement with warm accents. The new warehouse also offers more space for storage.
Events
‘Our new home provides ample opportunity to invite business associates and customers. The high light space and cozy atmosphere corners with lounge sofas and fireplace – conceived by Marcel Wolterinck – make you feel truly at home. Here we can give workshops and presentations and receive guests in Nilson atmosphere. That, too, is “brand experience,” Rijndert laughs.
Amersfoort
The new location of Amersfoort is brimming with creative entrepreneurship and offers Nilson many advantages. Suburban customers can be served even better and the showroom will also be open on Saturdays. The new building is easily accessible and parking is no problem at Hanze Boulevard 26. The official opening is scheduled for spring 2020.
