Van van Ee wins German Design Award with garden room Alysa
The German Design Award is a prestigious, international award for outstanding product design. Only the best-designed products are considered for a German Design Award. A jury, consisting of 39 international designers, evaluated the entries on aesthetics, ease of use and use of materials, among other things.
The uniqueness of this garden room
Garden room Alysa Van van Ee is a unique garden room. The garden room is designed from the vision that living inside and outside is one. The overall construction consists of as much as 90% glass. As a result, daylight enters from all sides and you experience nature as it is outside. The garden room can be equipped with luxury options such as blinds, lighting and heating. Thus, it can be enjoyed year-round.
The jury verdict
Light, with clean lines and a subtle, seemingly self-supporting structure, the product utilizes mainly glass with minimal aluminum elements in order to create a sheltered space for outdoors, without making the user feel they are in an inside area. Additional features appear to ensure a cosy and adaptable space in which to enjoy the outdoors in comfort, undisturbed by the elements.
