´´How do you create a disinfectant that is as invitingly delicious as, say, a bunch of delicately scented roses or a fresh bouquet of tulips?´ That was the question that formed the starting point for designing VOLA’s new series of dispensers, says architect and designer Torben Madsen, design manager at LINK Arkitektur.
Three models for every environment.
The VOLA RS11 is customizable for dispensing disinfectant spirit, foam or liquid soap/gel and is available as a freestanding, wall-mounted or table-mounted model, making it ideal for all environments such as receptions, offices, hotel lobbies and even in the bathroom. Each model has the same, well-proportioned one-liter cylinder. In true VOLA style, all the mechanisms are hidden to give you an impeccable, subtle design that fits perfectly with your environment. Even the wall fixtures are discreet, helping to create the most slender cylindrical design possible.
Design & mechanism
At VOLA, we believe that continuity not only pleases the eye, but also soothes the mind. Therefore, every configuration of the VOLA RS11 has the same dispenser and consistent proportions, integrating seamlessly with the Round Series and Hands-free collections. The reservoir references the design of the VOLA round shower head, known for its luxurious and elegant aesthetic.
Design development was about compressing VOLA’s classic, cylindrical shape into as slim and light a design as possible. The result is an aesthetically pleasing one-liter dispenser that does not require frequent refilling, with 1,000 uses from one refill.
A magnetic key allows you to lift the top of the cylinder and pour in the soap of your choice. Choose from three separate pump mechanisms that work with all hygiene options: disinfectant alcohol, foam or liquid soap/gel. The three mechanism options in all dispensers are the same and are powered by four AA batteries. We recommend rechargeable batteries to protect the environment.
Beauty that remains
In keeping with all VOLA products, the VOLA RS11 is designed for durability and manufactured with materials of the highest quality. A full selection of colors, brushed metals and PVD coatings ensures the timelessness of the VOLA RS11’s design.
Cleaning the reservoir and replacing fluid is easy, preventing bumps and damage. The aluminum cylinder, available in black or white, resists fingerprints. The accessibility of the parts makes them very easy to replace, if needed, and all parts are kept by VOLA to ensure years of use.
Materials & finishes
As with all VOLA products, the focus is on keeping the design simple and elegant and, in this case, combining it with good electronics, giving a long life. It was a positive challenge to develop a VOLA product that is completely out of the realm of the bathroom yet can stand on its own two feet, with the intention of creating a recognizable VOLA design that adds a stamp of quality to any environment.
