From training to entrepreneurship

My name is Nency Corstjens, interior architect, and for 28 years I have been turning my passion for interior design into atmospheric and functional spaces. My journey began at the Academy of Fine Arts (ABK) in Maastricht, where I graduated as an interior architect in 1997. But learning never stops. Over the years, I have continued to refine my knowledge and experience, and in 2005 I decided to establish my own studio: NC Interieurarchitectuur. Today, my studio has been creating unique, tailor-made interiors for 20 years, for both private and business clients.

Designing with experience and balance

For me, interior architecture goes far beyond aesthetics. A space has to feel right, be functional and suit who you are. That is why I not only listen to your wishes, but also look at how you use a space. My designs are always a balance of functionality, atmosphere and harmony. I look for the right proportions, the perfect incidence of light and carefully considered materials, so that a space is not only beautiful, but also feels comfortable and alive.

Exploring choices: experiencing the space consciously

With every design, I take the time to explore different possibilities. Clients often initially think about colours and materials, but it really starts with a more fundamental question: how do you want to use a space? By developing several options, I help you think carefully about layout, sightlines and functionality. This process is often even more important than the final material choices, because a well-considered space remains enjoyable to live and work in for years.

From idea to realisation: personal guidance

My approach is personal and committed. From the first sketch to the final execution, I guide you through the entire process. Together, we make sure the design does not remain on paper, but truly comes to life. Whether it concerns a new-build project, renovation or restyling, I keep an eye on both the bigger picture and the smallest details. I see it as my task to ensure that your interior will not only look beautiful, but above all become a place where you feel at home.
