Allow us to introduce ourselves. Sofie De Backer interieurarchitecten is an interior architecture studio in the north of Antwerp with 25 years of experience in designing private homes as well as shops, offices, hotels and restaurants. We have extensive expertise in both new-build projects and renovations, in advisory assignments and full-service projects, where we take care of everything from A to Z, in Belgium and abroad, with a particular focus on Belgium and Italy.

We are known for our attentive ear and for translating our clients’ wishes, requirements and dreams into functional, user-friendly, pure and timeless projects full of light, calm and harmony.

Our studio consists of a young and creative team of four interior architects. Sofie De Backer lived and worked in Milan from 2005 to 2012 on both Belgian and Italian projects. That is why the love for Italy has never been far away in the now more than 730 projects realised by the studio. You can already see this in the large number of Italian brands featured in the collection of Decospot, the interior store she founded in 2013, which brings together the interior and exterior brands favoured by the studio in one collection.
