Chalet Suisse
This traditional chalet from 1989 met the wishes of the customer but the living space of 400 m² had to be completely adapted to the requirements that people nowadays set for comfortable living. Unfortunately, local contractors were unable to meet our requirements with regard to high-end finishing in combination with a tight schedule. So we had everything done by a Dutch team and introduced everything. A fine example of project management from our people, since Switzerland does not belong to the EU.
The starting point was to retain the local color as much as possible, but to give it a modern twist. The interior is a bit tighter and made more symmetrical. We played with the differences in level in the house to keep the rooms together, but still give it our own intimacy. Eric Kuster has taken care of the furniture and the upholstery. The lighting has been completely renewed and we have given the fireplaces a modern look by coating them with blue steel and making them less solid. There is a lot of custom furniture applied in the house. The partially heated terrace offers a magnificent view of the mountains and a large part of the ski area. Here the residents can relax from the hanging chairs after an intensive day on the skis. Or maybe even better: relax from the jacuzzi, with a nice glass of wine in hand.
