Dream home in cottage style Blaricum

Beautifully situated, on a leafy and quiet avenue on the edge of forest and heathland, HaBé Bouwen in Stijl, to the design of Van Egmond Architects, has realized this magnificent villa including custom interiors. The project was delivered completely turnkey, thus completely relieving the clients.

The house stands among beautiful old trees, which provides shade and privacy to the sunny garden. From the pool, jacuzzi, terrace or landscaped lawn, walk right into the house through one of the many French doors. The classic roof terrace has a hardwood decking, a lovely place to enjoy a good glass of wine. The matte black steel greenhouse, with putty-set glass, gives this home that extra bit of allure.

Random masonry
The cottage style is beautifully visible in the masonry. The facades of the house have decorative brickwork. The standing rolled layer on the skirting masonry provides a beautiful and natural transition to the rising masonry. The wildlife bond consists of a random sequence of heads and strokes side by side. Slate tiles in the color “heather sandfaced” were chosen as the roofing material. These ceramic slate tiles provide the roof and the house with a typical and recognizable identity.

Natural stone waterslaps
All custom-made hardwood window frames feature keystone in the arches and natural stone weatherstripping on the exterior façade. Water stops water from getting directly on and into the wall, protecting the masonry. Partial cross windows, even in the round window above the entrance and shutters in a contrasting color, make it even more in keeping with the cottage style of this country house.

Stained glass
The classic staircase, with profiled balusters and turned bars, is a unique piece of craftsmanship. The oak steps along with the sleek painted risers make a beautiful combination. This along with the stained glass in insulated glass of the stairwell and the sublimely finished built-ins make for a grand entrance. All custom interior work was provided by Larino Interiors.

Versailles
The first floor has multiple elevations, ornamental moldings along the ceilings, a high ceiling in the kitchen and stunning Versailles parquet flooring. This luxurious pattern was once commonly laid in castles. The pattern consists of square panels with a diagonal weave, framed with oak strips in millwork bond. The entire first floor has oak panel doors and oak window frames. The distinctive interior doors feature ornate panels with double panel edge trim which create the unique and warm atmosphere in the home.
The interior design regarding color choices, wallpaper, furniture, lighting, tiles and upholstery, is a collaboration between the residents and Eef Langeler Design.

Italian marble
The bathrooms and toilet have a classic and luxurious look. The master bathroom and toilet on the first floor use elegant Italian marble, Breccia Capraia, which is extracted from the quarries of Roscane. All vanities are fully custom made and finished with marble trim. Marble is a high-quality material, timeless with a chic look and can be versatile. The shower corners in the children’s bathrooms are tiled in a herringbone pattern.

Cuckoo
The basement of the home features an additional living area, wine cellar and gym. In the wine cellar, the steel shelves are made into arches, which also gives this room an authentic atmosphere. The gym features an oak ballet barre and has sublime light, due to the cuckoo. In addition to daylight, it also provides optimal ventilation. The walls of the cake are raised to prevent incoming water and are finished with Belgian bluestone and an ornamental grid.

Ready for the future
The house is equipped with all modern conveniences. A complete home automation system has been installed. This controls smart lighting and the electric gate, among other things.
For atmosphere and coziness, several wood-burning fireplaces were chosen on the first floor, with the one in the living room framed by a beautiful stone fireplace. It is the ornament of the living room that everyone enjoys looking at. For added comfort, a heat exchanger and air-source heat pump were installed. This makes this residential villa ready for the future.
