Dream Villa
Living in a location where it seems like every day is a vacation day… It is possible in the Veluwerandmeren region! The Nuldernauw lies between Gelderland and Flevoland and was created in 1967 during the reclamation of southern Flevoland. This region has the Veluwe in its front yard and the beach in its backyard. Our client was instantly in love with this place and decided to realize their dream villa here, a thatched villa, a real home….
The client bought a beautiful lot. Generous, well located, but with a reasonable elevation. When the family bought this wooded lot, an old distinctive villa stood there. This had to be demolished to create space for their dream villa. The main premise for the new design was the height difference. The family also had a few wishes: thatched, whitewashed, matching the surroundings and a real family home….
We translated these wishes into this dream villa, a beautiful spacious thatched villa with classic window frames and rich detailing. A rural villa with character. The view of the authentic forests has also been preserved. The first floor and terrace is slightly higher than the street level, so the client can enjoy the beautiful view extra. The villa has a basement level pool and pool house and has several outbuildings on the north side of the lot. The large volume is interrupted by transepts, a flat-topped addition and a round bay window. And the large window openings and high ceilings allow plenty of light into the villa. A dream villa in a dream spot.
