FINCH boutique hotel in Deventer

In 1871, the doors of the stately Hotel De Keizer opened on Keizerstraat in Deventer. It formed the connection between the then new station and the old downtown.

In 1918, the Rotterdam Bank NV purchased the iconic building. From the 1970s it was in use as an office building. Anno now, 146 years after the fact, Hotel FINCH embraces the historic uniqueness of this so characterful building. FINCH is a new chapter in a glorious history. Ancient and alive and kicking. After 100 years, it is again what it once was; the nicest hotel in town. Born from the desire to create a hotel that is more than just a decent place to sleep. A hotel for a new generation of guests who desire more than the boring security of a standard hotel.

FINCH is a hotel with an adventurous personality and good taste. It offers luxury but is less formal and stiff than other quality hotels. A bit like home, but with a cool bar. The hotel has 24 rooms of all shapes and sizes. The rooms have a fresh modern style. Historic details, such as large windows and original beams, betray the quirks and history of the property.

The bathrooms were fitted with the iconic DuraSquare sink from German manufacturer Duravit. Durasquare is manufactured from DuraCeram®. This ceramic material makes it possible to create sinks with extraordinarily thin edges. The black base combined with the white ceramic make it a real eye-catcher in the beautifully decorated bathroom. They also chose Duravit for the toilet, the Durastyle Basic wall-mounted toilet.
