Dauby: exclusive door, window and furniture hardware

Interior with custom cabinetry and classic panel details

Wood and white, carried through every room

The first impression comes from the contrast: white fronts, pale wood, and darker hardware set against stone and tile floors. In this interior project, that palette repeats from room to room without becoming blunt. A panelled door picks up the rhythm of a built-in cabinet. A warm wood edge softens the transition to a white wall. Underfoot, the natural stone tile floor adds a darker base in some spaces, while lighter joints keep the surface readable.

What stands out most is how the joinery is used as architecture, not as decoration. Custom built-in cabinets sit flush with the walls, and the paneled fronts carry a measured profile that appears again in doors and storage units. The effect is clearest in the circulation spaces, where the built-ins stretch along the wall and guide the eye through the plan. This interior project is shaped as much by those lines as by the furniture itself.

Custom built-in cabinets that shape the route

The hallway built-ins do more than store. They define the width of the passage and turn a transitional zone into a sequence of planes: white cabinet fronts, dark pulls, and a lighter wall above. In one long corridor, the storage runs beside a sloped ceiling and a ribbed wall section, which breaks up the length without adding visual noise. Ceiling spotlights punctuate the route and keep the passage legible as it bends through the house.

Close to the entry, the same discipline continues in smaller gestures. A paneled door sits beside a dark frame, and the floor shifts to a darker tile with visible grout lines. That change in material is enough to mark the threshold. The details stay restrained: no heavy ornament, only the repetition of panel lines, slim profiles, and careful junctions between door leaf, frame, and wall. It is this consistency that gives the custom built-in cabinets their presence.

Panelled doors, handles and the quiet use of contrast

White paneled doors appear throughout the interior, sometimes paired with wood, sometimes with a black frame that sharpens the outline. The panels are shallow and regular, so the doors read as part of the wall rather than separate objects. Dark knobs and handles interrupt the white surfaces and make each opening easier to read. They also keep the cabinetry from feeling flat, especially where large front panels meet a narrow profile or a recessed strip above.

The same contrast returns in the bathroom and utility spaces, where a lighter cabinet face meets a darker floor. In one bathroom view, a basin sits in a niche with a visible tap, and the floor is finished in stone-like tile with pale joints. Another doorway reveals double wooden doors with paneled divisions and a darker tiled surface underfoot. These are small scenes, but they show how the interior project uses material shifts to separate one zone from another.

Bathroom surfaces and tighter room proportions

The bathroom details are concise and practical in appearance: a vanity niche, tiled flooring, and doors that repeat the same panel language found elsewhere in the house. The surfaces remain clear and easy to read, even where the room is compact. Darker tile at the floor adds weight, while the pale wall areas keep the room from closing in. Because the fittings are limited to what is visible and necessary, the focus stays on the edges where materials meet.

Another view shows a doorway set off by an ornamental wall finish and a black frame. That contrast between smooth painted surfaces and a darker opening adds depth without relying on decorative excess. In the interior project as a whole, these small bathroom and corridor moments help connect the private rooms to the circulation spaces. The same visual language continues, only scaled down: panel, frame, tile, and a controlled line of light.

A bedroom built into the wall line

The bedroom images show how storage and sleeping area can share the same structure. Built-in closet details frame an integrated bed niche, so the room reads as one composed wall rather than separate pieces placed in sequence. The surrounding cabinetry carries the same white finish and panel divisions seen elsewhere. Wood appears in smaller accents, enough to loosen the surface and keep the room from becoming overly uniform.

Here, the room’s geometry does most of the work. The bed sits within a recessed zone, with cabinetry running around it and aligning to the edges of the niche. That arrangement keeps the floor clearer and makes the wall plane feel more deliberate. It is a good example of how custom built-in cabinets can organize a room without calling attention to themselves. The result is calm in the practical sense: fewer loose edges, fewer interruptions, more continuity in the wall surface.

Kitchen and utility areas kept in the same language

The kitchen and wash area follow the same wood and white interior palette, though the surfaces are more utilitarian. White cabinet fronts sit beside lower wood tones, and a darker worktop or floor gives the room a firmer base. Ventilation grilles appear in the cabinetry, confirming that the joinery is built around use rather than display. The details are plain, but they are drawn with the same care as the roomier living spaces.

In these working zones, the natural stone tile floor or dark tile surface gives the strongest reading. It anchors the cabinets and makes the white fronts stand out without brightening the room too much. The transitions are direct: a cabinet edge, a door seam, a floor joint, a line of shadow. That restraint keeps the kitchen interior and utility room visually connected to the rest of the interior project, even when the functions change.

Light from above, not just from the windows

Ceiling spotlights play an important role in the passage spaces and larger rooms. They sit quietly in the ceiling plane, but their placement determines how the corridor is read. Along a sloped ceiling, the spots mark the path and bring attention to the length of the hallway built-ins. In the living spaces, they sit beside larger openings and help balance the darker floor and the softer wall tones.

The window zones add another layer. Curtains and blinds frame the glazed openings, and in the living room the dark floor works as a steady base beneath the light from outside. The result is not dramatic in a staged sense; it is measured. Light arrives from the windows, but the ceiling spotlights keep the interior legible after that first bright edge fades. Together they define how each room is approached, from hall to living space to the more enclosed private areas.

Materials that repeat, but never feel copied

Across the interior project, the same material set returns in different proportions: white paint, pale wood, dark hardware, and stone or tile flooring. Because the scale changes from room to room, the surfaces never feel repetitive. A cabinet front becomes a door. A floor becomes the background for a bathroom threshold. A profile detail in the hallway reappears around a bedroom niche. The project gains its character through that repetition of parts rather than through a single gesture.

The strongest impression is one of order built through detail. Panel lines, slim frames, and measured joinery do the work that ornament would normally do. The rooms remain specific: a bathroom with a stone tile floor, a corridor with ceiling spotlights, a bedroom with built-in closet details, and a kitchen or utility room in white and wood. Seen together, they form a clear interior project where the cabinets, doors, floors, and light are all part of the same carefully drawn sequence.
