Modern city garden
This renovated row house called for a custom garden. Our interior designer looked for a cozy urban oasis in the design. This translates into green walls against the walls at the press lot boundaries to hide a mishmash of materials from view. Mirrors visually enlarge the garden.
The eye-catcher in the whole is an aluminum element integrating water and fire.
The floor is finished in poured concrete. The wide joints between the concrete strips are filled with slate chips. The wooden patio and wooden garden shed bring a warm touch to the cold setting of concrete and metal.
The garden shed received an extensive green roof to beautify the view of the roof from upstairs. The home’s patio received a finish in ipe and slate shingles around the aluminum planters.
