Modernist villa with two faces
Temptingly, this villa on a hillside on the outskirts of Hilversum beckons. En profil it is particularly the natural stone chimney that catches the eye, but the patient viewer is rewarded with a wealth of refined detailing.
From the first sketches, interior elements were integrated into the design. Think soothing built-in closets, tasteful staircases and cool fireplace areas.
A light-filled home means not only ceiling-high facades, but also attention to clear and tasteful integration of window coverings, lighting and storage space. For special details such as stairs and chimneys, a bold gesture, quiet materials and seemingly simple detail were chosen here.
The orientation of this villa is fantastic, plenty of sun during the day. To control the amount of light and heat, we designed a veranda here with adjustable louvers over the entire back facade. So enjoying the garden is never far away!
