At this home, the front yard immediately catches the eye. For design studio Van Mierlo Gardens, the ideal place to get in touch with nature, so that you always come home with a pleasant feeling. The owners of the property love to travel and have a great affinity for Asia. So we see this in some design elements, such as the wooden cladding of the garage. Because both the house and the garage were snow white, Van Mierlo Tuinen wanted to soften the impact of this and the entire garage wall was covered with Shou Sugi Ban, which is carbonized through a Japanese preservation technique. The owners were extremely surprised by this design element, which they did not expect their landscaper to have an opinion on.
So much attraction goes into the front yard that you are invited to take the longest route to the front door. In this way, Van Mierlo Tuinen has ensured that you not only come home to your home, but also a little closer to your own nature.
