Sail sculpture tower SPR2-center (Hamme – Belgium)

The top of the tower almost reaches the height of 30 meters. It is an ultra-lightweight tower constructed as a gridshell, with each joint hinged. So purely by its design alone, the tower remains standing, not catching any moment.

The outer shell in textile “pulls,” while the gridshell in steel rods “pushes” upward. This construction is unique, another pioneering effort….
