Subdued woodland garden
Architect residence Paul Tesser
In our work, we always seek the connection with the residents, the home and the larger landscape. So too around this understated villa in the woods.
The owner has a coaching practice at home, so we had to think carefully about the entrance. The long flower box with the grasses ensures that clients walk straight to the front door, and not accidentally back around to the private entrance.
The sunken garden on the side provides the desired natural light, and the plantings for beautiful views when looking out from the basement room. The backyard, like the interior, is understated and soothing. A nice place where you can relax, or start a walk to the forest behind.
