Sustainable dream home with character
Free living between forest and heath. The clients of this home with garage, took advantage of the unique opportunity to realize their own dream home in a sought-after location in the new Kerckebosch neighborhood in Zeist. A unique lot, because of the present old trees and shifting dunes, located directly on the forests of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug and Heidestein estate. Architect Marcel de Ruiter put his creativity to use and designed a beautiful villa with a high level of architecture.
Modern architecture
A lovely detached villa with its own character and in balance with its natural surroundings. In which modern architecture is combined with the use of natural materials. The entrance and garage door are lined with oak, which provides warmth and tranquility.
Beautiful facade
By bricklaying with a thin grout set back and butt joint-free, the grout is aesthetically subordinated to the masonry stone, in part due to shadowing. The appearance of the facade is minimally affected by the joint. The result is a beautiful facade with character.
Thatched roofing
The thatched roof, provided by Rietdekkersbedrijf H. van Ginkel, gives the property extra allure. This ancient form of roofing has been used to create a luxurious, warm and stylish look. The authenticity of the home is fulfilled to the fullest by the use of this natural material.
Energy efficient
The home is partially basement, energy efficient and finished to a very high standard. A basement gives a huge amount more space for a relatively low investment. In addition to the wine cellar and home theater, the cellar also contains the technical room, where a heat pump is installed. A heat pump is a device that moves heat. The pump can heat and cool a home in an energy-efficient manner and provide hot tap water.
Indoor veranda
When the weather is nice, you can enjoy under the indoor veranda. As inside, the speakers are invisible here; they are completely plastered away in the ceiling. But even when the weather is not so good, you can have a good time here. The patio heaters are built into the ceiling and an open outdoor fireplace has been installed.
A sustainable dream home with character in a green neighborhood.
