Following the successful launch of “White Tulip,” Philippe Starck is now designing “Tulum,” his second series of faucets for Duravit. The monolithic design, reduced to basic components, skillfully sets accents. The taps fit perfectly into a wide variety of bathroom interiors and match a wide range of ceramic ranges. In the middle price range, the faucet series makes an excellent design statement, on which Duravit offers a five-year warranty.

Iconic design with longevity
For Philippe Starck, timelessness means that objects are durable: materially, culturally and emotionally. In designing Tulum, he implemented this idea with a successful symbiosis of purism and elegance. The slim, rectangular shapes of spout and handle run exactly parallel to the tapered body. By combining round and square elements, the faucets match organically shaped and square plumbing fixtures. The flat, high-quality spout is exactly the same width as the long, elegant lever. It gives the faucet its elegant look and allows for easy and precise adjustment of water volume and temperature. Available in two finishes: chrome and matte black, Tulum harmonizes perfectly with the Starck T range of accessories, also designed by Philippe Starck.

Wide range of products for individual solutions
From the compact basin mixers for the smaller bathroom to the extra-high models that you combine with wash bowls, Tulum by Starck offers the right solution with different heights for basin mixers in S, M and XL. For all other parts of the bathroom – bidet, shower and bathtub – the range also offers the optimal installation solution for every situation: from surface to flush mounting and free-standing bath mixers. The shower portfolio includes matching hand and head showers in various sizes and designs, from round to rectangular or as a hand shower.

Convinced by quality and functionality
Both haptically and visually, Tulum impresses, in terms of quality with durable ceramic patterns and perfectly finished surfaces that are easy to clean. The harmoniously integrated cartridge enriches the water jet with air and creates a gentle jet of 5 liters per minute. Optional basin mixers with the energy-saving FreshStart function are also available for sizes S and M. Only cold water initially flows in the middle position. Hot water is added only when the user deliberately moves the lever to the left. Built-in solutions use the Duravit BlueBox®, a universal installation system for different faucets (single lever mixer or thermostat). This means that the design decision can also be made after the installation system has been installed.
