Villa Veth

There is a varied landscape between forest and floodplain. High, dry sandy dunes interspersed with heather, willow struts and grasslands. An ideal environment if you like the outdoors, such as the residents of this villa. 

The living space of this bungalow with woodland is focused to the south. Lovely, the sun on the terrace. The glass wall from the living room to the spacious patio is designed in such a way that the border between inside and outside is transparent. This allows you to optimally experience the garden and the rest of the environment from within. Even on fall days it is lovely to be there because of the large canopy and the underfloor heating. 

Seen from the carport, the bungalow seems to float. It is a simple architectural intervention with a great visual effect. The house looks sleek and abstract on the outside, but has a warm and cozy interior. The furniture in the living room is co-designed. The kitchen, storage room, fireplace, piano and sound equipment form one whole with the cupboard wall. 

This house has an abstract, closed character on the entrance side, but opens to the garden through a large, overhanging canopy. The curved glass wall from floor to ceiling around the living room is only interrupted by minute kit joints. The round column outside on the terrace is covered with stainless steel and therefore reflects the surroundings. 

One corner is designed as an overhang for a carport. All household functions are integrated in a cupboard wall: storage space, TV, fireplace, sound system and ice maker. On the outside, this wall extends and forms a cupboard for garden items. Dispensers for soap and washing-up liquid are concealed in the kitchen island.
