Villa with allure and oak accents in Nuland

This time we built a detached villa with outbuilding, designed by Bekhuis & KleinJan, in the rural area of Nuland. A home with many oak accents, both inside and out. This, combined with the white keim work, vertically applied wooden cladding and thatched roof, creates an exclusive villa with a lot of allure.

Aluminum typesetting
Through the extension one reaches dry the generous carport, constructed of oak rafters and also with a thatched roof. In both this roof and the thatched roof of the house and outbuilding, the ridge finish is a sleek aluminum flashing, this instead of the commonly used semi-circular ceramic forst. A tight masonry frame, in the same dark plinth stone, lies out the large side gable frame. Lots of natural daylight flows right into the sitting room. In the middle of this room is see-through gas fireplace. A see-through fireplace is one that has glass on the front and back, allowing you to enjoy the dancing flames from two sides.

Steel sliding doors
Steel sliding doors were mounted between the sitting room and living kitchen, a functional work of art for the house. The track system is incorporated into the ceiling and the floor finish continues. The steel sliding door is a luxurious product, robust and quirky, yet elegant. At the rear, an imposing American veranda with balustrade has been realized at the full width of the villa. Generous, with skylight, built-in patio heaters and a hardwood deck. A place to fully enjoy being outdoors.

Timber frame outbuilding
The outbuilding, with the possibility of a guest house, is built in wood frame construction. Timber frame construction is a construction method in which the spaces between the timber frame are filled with insulating material for acoustics and thermals. An outbuilding creates a detached living space – an oasis away from the main house – that is excellent for a variety of uses, an office, playroom, studio or pool house.

Home automation system
The house is equipped with all contemporary luxuries, including a Domotics system installed. Home automation provides electronic communication between a variety of electrical applications in and around the home. Home automation controls various functions in the home, such as heating, ventilating, lighting, alarms and watching television. This is done flexibly: at any place and time that suits the residents.
