Villa with vacation feeling

JUMA architects transformed a typical 1976 bungalow house into a contemporary villa with a vacation feel.

Nothing remains of the original layout. As a result, the entrance door is already in a different place to begin with. The stairs to the basement and to the attic were removed and replaced with two stairwell hatches, freeing up much surface area that had previously served only as a circulation space. The garage was also sacrificed. Not only because of the space the garage took up, but also because it completely obstructed the view of the most beautiful part of the garden. The unused attic space above the garage was opened up to the ridge, creating the perfect place for JUMA to house the kitchen. Above the central kitchen island hangs the voluminous Vertigo lamp, which looks perfect there.

The kitchen is bathed in green thanks to a new large window. Large areas of glass were also provided at the level of the dining area and the sitting area with cozy fireplace to fully enjoy the light and the view of the new pool.

Around that sky-blue pool, an L-shaped volume was added containing a covered terrace and the master bedroom. Also from that bedroom and from the adjoining bathroom you have that direct contact with the pool and just that makes this house so special. Everywhere you experience a blissful vacation feeling.

Colors and materials are kept very light and sober with occasional black detail in window frames, door handles or light fixtures. The whole exudes serenity that allows residents to completely unwind here.
