Modern townhouse with appealing architecture

This impressive villa is located on the Utrecht Ridge. The appealing and modern architecture is combined with a special facade structure; a timeless look and a combination of various natural materials. This quickly points to Architect Marco van Veldhuizen, who specializes in creating cozy, minimalist and timeless designs. Yet the residential villa has its own character, reflecting the clients’ personalities. With beautiful sight lines, everything is in perfect harmony with each other. All this results in a modern and contemporary villa; functional and harmonious. The project was successfully carried out in a construction team, working together from an early stage of construction, everyone’s specific expertise was used to ensure optimal design and realization through consultation.

Oak slats
This modern townhouse has an emphatic architectural appeal through a striking (facade) presentation. The facade design consists of a number of different components. An important image is defined by the oak slats that sit between the oak decorative columns. The slats provide depth processing in the facade in addition to sun protection, more privacy is also achieved by applying slats. The facades are partly plastered and partly fitted with flush masonry, with the grout forming one unit with the masonry mortar.

Rhombus Red Cedar cladding
Rhombus Red Cedar cladding was chosen. Rhombus cladding is very popular and gives the facade a luxurious look. The diamond-shaped slats provide open ventilation. This is also immediately the strength of Rhombus wood; it ventilates well. By using exactly the same wood for the sectional doors as the cladding, the garage doors blend in completely with the facade. The ceilings of the overhangs are made of Rockpanel; a maintenance-free, fireproof and durable sheet material. The unusual roof form features a flat roof tile. Solar panels are mounted on the flat roof.

Aluminum window frames
The villa has aluminum window frames. The strong aluminum frame and clever design allow for windows with surprisingly large dimensions. The sleek and slim profiles provide a minimalist look. Aluminum window frames meet the highest standards of quality, longevity, comfort and safety.

Masonry mirror pond
A modern veranda was built as an extension of the house; it blends seamlessly with the style of the house. A fireplace was installed and, in addition, patio heating was installed in the ceiling. A unique place to fully enjoy the outdoors at the edge of the masonry mirror pond. A mirror pond is characterized by its clean lines and is decoratively particularly beautiful. Mirror ponds are as smooth as mirrors and are shallow. That way, the reflection of the garden or residence, of the sun and clouds works best, this reflection creates a great experience.

Steel pivot doors
The atmosphere of the exterior of the home is very skillfully carried through into the interior of the home, modern but cozy and warm. De Rooy’s steel pivot doors give the home an open and attractive feel, daylight is distributed throughout the home, with each room benefiting from natural light. The milled-line interior doors, hung in ceiling-high interior door frames, feature concealed hinges and magnetic locks. These are fully integrated into the frames and doors.

Interior
The entire interior, both the kitchen and the built-in cabinets and other interior pieces were stylishly taken care of by Larino Interieurs. The home features two gas fireplaces that provide additional ambiance and coziness. An oak block staircase with a keep tree leads to the first and second floors. When a keep tree is used, the step is placed not through a recess in the tree but on the tree. With a keep tree, the tree is not visible when you look on the step.

Bivalent heat pump
A bivalent heat pump was installed. Here the heat pump together with the combi boiler provides heating or cooling and hot water supply in the home. This combines the best of both worlds; on the one hand, the villa is energy-efficiently heated or cooled by the heat pump, and on the other hand, the residents enjoy a nice hot shower from the combi boiler. If it is extremely cold, the combi boiler jumps in to heat the home.
